![]() marriage, tool upgrades although there is one, but still a fantastic game. Love the soundtrack and the simplicity of it, small amount of cows and chickens, requirements to keep them happy is easy, moving cows into the barn on rainy days is fast if you have the flute. Hm save the homeland: not sure if this is the one you couldn't get into, but it's in my top 3. Small differences, but overall pretty similar. Tool upgrades are based on use and you need to farm for ore to upgrade. Unlike some others where you buy everything and then have no more use for money. Very similar to hm64, very involved and it keeps you busy till the end. I adored it even though I had no clue what I was doing. Cute is classic, and as a kid I had a save with like 10 in game years and played the game constantly. By far the best are Tale of Two Towns and DS Cute. ![]() Hm back to nature / boy & girl: This one is on the psn if you want a cheap virtual copy. Hi guys, so I'm getting a 2ds and was wondering what are the best Ds harvest moon games are. No marriage, only 4 cows and chickens, only the farm and town and you can't walk around in the town, just choose a shop. Tool upgrades are events instead of something you do directly. Still fun, but easily can feel like a grind. Hm gb: Very simple, basic game, similar to the SNES hm, but very bare bones. Which, if you're like me, may be a bit annoying. Harvest Moon: Animal Parade (for the Wii) does allow your children to age to a child stage where they walk and talk, but in all other HM games your kids stop growing when they reach the toddler walking stage. The only downside is, AWL is the only Harvest Moon game where you get to watch your child grow up. I've never played this one myself, but I know it's super popular! Very similar to F/MFomT, but this one has a few different marriage choices, and a plot so to speak. This game uses GBA, so the graphics are very pixelated, but it's also a super fun game, and hosts the most well-known HM characters in the series! There's no real plot to it, you just get your farm and have at it, but it's still a great game.Īlso try out Harvest Moon: DS (or HM:DS for Girls if you'd like to play as a girl). So it's a bit unlike AWL, where you're just given the farm and told to get cracking.Īlso go ahead and scope out Friends/More Friends of Mineral Town (same game, but the later edition is the girl's version). It has a sort of plot to follow- the player must achieve various goals throughout gameplay (such as winning festival competitions, exploring new places) to receive "Musical Notes," and these must be used to awaken the sleeping Goddess. It's great for just sitting back and having a really relaxing time with, and there's so much stuff to do in the game that you'll be kept busy for a few in-game years. ![]() There's plenty of marriage options to choose, and while it doesn't boast as many animal and crop types as newer HM games do (like ANB and Story of Seasons), it's an easy and fun game. well, a bit weird, but the game itself is super fun. Since you've got the gamecube already, go ahead and look for Magical Melody! The graphics make the sprites look.
